Copyright Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

1. In short

FASL respects the rights of copyright owners. Users upload their own files; we do not host a content library and we do not let anyone browse or search other people's files. Even so, if you believe a file processed through our Service infringes your rights, this page explains how to tell us and what we will do.

2. How to report

Send a notice to support@fasl.io with the subject "Copyright notice", including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed
  • Identification of the material you want removed, with a link or file identifier that lets us find it
  • Your name, address, email address, and telephone number
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf
  • Your signature, electronic or physical

An incomplete notice slows us down. If yours is missing something we will ask for it rather than ignore it.

3. What we do when we receive one

We review every notice. If it is complete and appears valid on its face, we will promptly remove the material or disable access to it, notify the person who uploaded it, and pass them a copy of your notice. We may retain a copy during any dispute for legal purposes only.

We may also act without waiting for a notice where a file plainly breaches our Terms.

4. If you think we got it wrong

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that your use was authorised, send us a counter-notice at the same address including: identification of the material and where it appeared before removal; a statement made in good faith that it was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification; your name, address and email; your consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and your signature.

We will pass the counter-notice to the party who reported it. We may restore the material if they do not take legal action within a reasonable period.

5. Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of repeat infringers. If we receive multiple valid notices about the same user, we will close their account. We take into account how many notices there were, how serious they were, and whether any were successfully counter-noticed. Creating a new account to get around a closure is itself a breach of Section 10 of our Terms.

6. False reports

Filing a notice you know to be untrue has consequences. We may decline to act on later reports from the same source, and a person who knowingly misrepresents may be liable for the damage that causes the other side.

7. Your responsibility for what you upload

Under our Terms you confirm that you hold the necessary rights in every file you upload. Removing music from a recording you do not own does not give you rights in it, and the resulting file remains subject to the rights of its owner.
